China's oil pipeline anti-corrosion technology has made new breakthroughs
(Reporter Luo Ke) Recently, CNPC Pipeline Anti-corrosion Engineering Company demonstrated the "heat shrinkage band filling construction equipment and supporting technology". According to the different installation process of long-distance oil and gas pipelines, the technology is divided into two kinds of heat-shrink sleeve installation processes, such as wet film and dry film, which fills the gaps in related fields in China.
At present, the total mileage of China's oil and gas pipelines has exceeded 50,000 kilometers, and pipeline construction has reached an international level. However, in recent years, the inspection of in-service pipelines has found that the corrosion phenomenon of the pipe body due to the failure of the heat shrinkage band is common, and the quality of the pipe mouth anti-corrosion has become a key factor restricting the operation of the pipe. According to the relevant person in charge, there are 92 welds on the average 1 km oil and gas pipeline that require on-site anti-corrosion. Anti-corrosion fill has become the main constraint factor for pipeline life and operational safety. Therefore, since 2009, the Pipeline Research Institute and China National Petroleum Anti-corrosion Co., Ltd. have successively carried out research on “heat shrinkage repairing equipment and supporting technology research” and “polyethylene heat-shrinkable anti-corrosion products and supporting materials”. According to industry insiders, the technical performance of the dry film installation products developed this time meets the technical requirements of GB/T23257 and the eastern section of the West Second Line, and is applied to pipeline anti-corrosion filling. The viscoelastic anti-corrosion technology was used in 48 valve rooms of 27 stations in the eastern section of the West Second Line, and achieved good results.
