Features and Advantages for typical TEMA type:

BEM Type: Good performance and Safety,

Channel side is removable and easy cleaning on tubeside with high pressure water, but Shell side is welded to tubesheet, cannot opening and cleaning. Price just a little higher than BEU type but cheaper than floating type. Limited to absorb the thermal expansion until add expansion bellow on shell side.

BEU Type: Good performance, Safety and Economy,

Both tubeside and shell side is removable and partial cleaning on both side. Tube bundle can be replaced if out of works and channel and shell still can use for new tube bundle. Can absorb all of the thermal expansion without any addition components.

AES Type: Good performance, Safety ,

Both tubeside and shell side is removable and fully cleaning on both side with high pressure water. Tube bundle can be replaced if out of works and channel and shell still can use for new tube bundle. Can absorb all of the thermal expansion without any addition components. But the price is higher than BEM & BEU type.
